Representative Ro Khanna has launched a House investigation into a $500 million UAE investment in World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency project tied to associates of former President Donald Trump. The probe examines potential national security risks and constitutional violations stemming from foreign funding.

Documents reveal UAE-based Aryam Investment 1 acquired a 49% stake in World Liberty Financial just days after Trump's 2026 inauguration. The deal involved a $250 million upfront payment, with $187 million reportedly flowing to Trump-linked entities and $31 million to companies owned by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.

Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE's national security advisor and brother to the current president, controls the investing entity. The House Select Committee on China is leading the inquiry amid growing scrutiny of foreign influence in domestic financial ventures.
